YOGA + MINDFULNESS
Our Yoga and mindfulness class for children and young adults with special needs is designed to meet each individual where they are at and provide instruction based on their current level of functioning.
Yoga has many benefits for children with special needs. It has been shown to increase body awareness and strength, help to regulate emotions, facilitate social connections, and boost self esteem, just to name a few.
The class will be taught by Lisa Levine, who has worked with children with special needs for over 20 years. Each class will focus on breathing, movement, and mindfulness activities and will provide opportunities for social interaction and language facilitation, in a loving, fun space where all people are accepted for exactly who they are.
